Looking for color inspiration? Try Peach Fuzz, the Pantone Color Institute’s new color of the year. Pantone 13-1023, Peach Fuzz, is a warm, cozy shade that creates a welcoming ambiance. Peach-colored flowers and foliage can be found across a wide spectrum in nature, from shrubs to perennials, annuals and tropicals. In addition to flower colors, this light peach would pair nicely with neutral green or white plants as lighter terracotta pots.
New for 2024, this classic vining variety boasts modern performance. Plants produce big, beautiful, multi-tonal peach blooms with darker orange throats. Train to a trellis and enjoy all summer. Color is darker in cooler temperatures.
This variety, which has been one of my favorites, has been on the market for eight years. Blooms are lighter in color and plant habit is more weeping than vining. Excellent choice for summer hanging baskets and patio pots.
Sundiascia varieties have an upright, vertical habit, making them well-suited to be the thriller component in spring combination planters. They also look impressive planted en masse in sunny beds. These varieties are also more heat tolerant than typical diascia and will stay in flower longer through summer. Four colors include Peach, Bright Pink, Rose Pink and Blush White.
This super strawflower produces big blooms on large, vigorous plants. Shades of orange, pink and yellow create a peachy look. Watch the flowers open each morning after being held in tight balls overnight. Weather-tolerant Granvia strawflowers provide three seasons of interest and are excellent for dried flower crafts. Peachy Keen is one of six colors.
At first glance, this variety looks more like an impatiens than a vinca. Soiree Flamenco varieties have ruffled petals and striking bicolor patterns. They love the heat and humidity all summer. While Salmon Glow has dark peach and white coloring, there are three pink varieties, plus the deep burgundy Salsa Red with a light peach edge.
Brindabella Dawn is a modern shrub rose with an antique look. You’ll love the fully-petaled flowers and fragrance. Plants are full and resistant to foliar diseases, like black spot, that plague roses. Choose from seven scentsational colors!
