Show #33/3307
Let's Have A Parade - With Roses

A Great Looking Floral Arrangement

Several aspects of floral design are layering as well as color contrast. Eric shows an arrangement that has been designed particularly well. Bird of Paradise blooms have been utilized for a wonderful tropical pop of orange, then in the interior of the display they have liatris spicata that create a wonderful foundation and a great contrast between the orange and the purple. A wonderful element that they're using as well, and we don't see in many designs, are the red stem cornices. This is an example where the designer is thinking outside the box and thinking about elements we don't often see to create a really nice vertical aspect. The red plays in well with the orange and the purple. So we have nice strong vertical accents, the orange that radiates outside of the arrangement as well as the beautiful purple liatris that anchors the whole arrangement. So, all of these elements work together to produce something that's quite nice.
