Are there any diseases we should worry about? They are susceptible to - powdery mildew and alternaria leaf spots, some insects such as Japanese beetles and sometimes slugs, especially the little seedlings, as they are coming up. But on the whole it's an easy plant whether a beginning gardener or a seasoned professional, this is one that should be part of the cut flower repertoire in the garden.
