Show #3/5503 A Town That Loves Its' Tulips

Fertilizing Bulbs

When planting bulbs in a container or the ground you can get them off to a good start by adding some slow release fertilizer. Simply sprinkle it on to the soil then work it in about 1 to 6 inches and that depends on how deep you'll plant the bulb. Once the fertilizer is in dig it down, plant your bulb, then cover it up. You can also apply a slow release fertilizer right after the plant has finished flowering and that will give it the energy to produce flowers next year.
