Eric wants to talk about deadheading dahlias. Certainly there will be blooms that from a timing standpoint don’t make it to market. How important is it to remove those blooms. Tim says it’s very important because energy will continue to go into that plant as long as its on the plant. The only time he will leave a flower on a plant is if its one that he thinks he is going to leave so it can go to seed. Other than that once it’s passed its useful life cycle it gets taken off and discarded. It’s no longer viable or doing any good on the plant.
