Tropical Plants with Parker Andes

A hot new trend is utilizing Tropical Plants in our yards and gardens.
The foliage and vibrant colors make a stunning statement. They are
typically pest free and grow great in the hot summer months. Some of the plants shown are: Red Vein Banana (grows to 14 feet tall), Elephant Ear - Jet Black Wonder (the more sun it gets the darker it gets), Canna
"Black Knight," Blackie Sweet Potato, Persian Shield, Purple Fountain
Grass, Crocosmia "Lucifer" (vivid red), and Canna "Bengal Tiger."

Container Planting and Maintenance with Helen Phillips

Container gardening allows us to introduce shades, accents, color and
interest throughout our landscape, decks and paths. Once planted they
need to be maintained. As the season winds down maintenance must be addressed. Helen shares her ideas for planting and maintaining these beautiful containers.
