Feeling Blue

A beautifully whimsical combo filled with light blues and whites feels light and airy. Our inspo mix features Cool Wave Frost Spreading Pansy, Sorbet Delft Blue XP Viola, Blue Arrows Juncus, and a silver-hued Calocephalus.

Another spring blue combo option can create a moodier vibe using pansies in rich royal purples and violets. Try combining Cool Wave Violet Wing Spreading Pansy, Clear Crystal Lavender Shades Alyssum, and Blue Arrows Juncus. You’ve got plenty of filler and a tall thriller to make a chic impression.

Rosy Outlook

Mixing soft, delicate flowers in a strong, solid container can create a nice contrast. Try this springy combo by placing sweet, rose-colored pansies plus hints of yellow tucked away inside a stone flowerpot. The overall look still feels delicate with a solid anchor. Featured flowers include Cool Wave Raspberry Swirl Spreading Pansy, Deep Rose Arabis, and Yellow Aurinia.

Go For The Gold

Be the herald of spring with all the textures and colors of the season in this combination. Plant Cool Wave Golden Yellow Spreading Pansy, Cool Wave Sunshine and Wine Spreading Pansy, and ColorGrass Sirocco Anemanthele and watch the breeze playfully sway the grasses anchored by welcoming golden color.

Take that movement up another notch with vibrant companion plants. This recipe is a cool-weather combo with texture and interest. Plant Cool Wave Golden Yellow Spreading Pansy, Akila Purple Osteospermum, and ColorGrass Sirocco Anemanthele.

Pansies Are Edible

If you like a patio planter that has function as well as gorgeous form, think about mixing your spring pansies with cool-season lettuces! The two of them make a great team and a tasty duo for salads and other plated recipes. To build your edible combo, mix in assorted loose-leaf lettuce blends and classic pansies of any color – they’ll all pop against the neutral lettuce greens. Here we show Cool Wave Violet Wing Spreading Pansy with Healing Hands Salad Mix.

Pansies are super hardy in those early spring months, and most bounce back even if a late frost makes an unwelcome appearance. Use these inspo options above to venture out (jacket on, of course) and add color to your outdoors to increase your garden enjoyment this spring.
