Happy 4th of July! Okay it’s not quite summer just yet. But we can certainly get ready with some color inspiration from Beacon® impatiens. Check out how to get this patriotic look for your porch or backyard.

Find a shady space in your landscape and create the desired shape of your border. Prepare the soil. You may want to map out where each plant will go, making sure to space them out 8 to 10 inches apart. This may seem wider than you might expect, but your Beacon impatiens will definitely grow and fill in nicely.

For this patriotic look, plant your Beacon Bright Red and White impatiens in a checkered or striped pattern. Come July, you and your neighbors will be enjoying the summer weather with mounds of color. Again, plant in full shade for best results.

If you don’t have space around your patio, you can still achieve all the same summertime feels with a few large containers. You’ll want to buy the Beacon Red White Mix to plant in a couple of beautiful blue pots. Depending on the size, you can add three plants per 10-inch decorative planter or pot. Showcase them on your front porch or backyard patio.

Drive down to your favorite garden center today and get this patriotic look for your front porch just in time for summer.
