Suntory Texas Summer Double

Wine & Roses Weigela attracts hummingbirds and gardeners equally to the shrub border. Hummingbirds love the deep rose-colored tubular flowers. The polished dark purple, almost black, foliage underneath the flowers is the people attractant. Wine & Roses Weigela blooms off and on throughout the summer after putting on a heavy show in the spring. The branches, with or without flowers, can be used in floral arrangements. Full sun will give the best flower and foliage color. It is hardy to USDA Zone 4 and takes medium water in a well-drained soil.
